Pumzika means “rest” in Kiswahili. That is what we want every trip to Tanzania to feel like, from the moment you search to the day you check out.
Pumzika Stays is a booking site for homes, villas, apartments and lodges across Tanzania: the beaches of Zanzibar, the city in Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Moshi near Kilimanjaro, and lodges near the parks. We are a Tanzanian team, and we built it for travellers who want a real home to stay in and for local hosts who want to welcome them.
What we believe
- The full price, up front. Add your dates and you see what your trip costs, service fee included. Nothing is added at checkout.
- Hosts keep their price. Listing is free and hosts receive their full nightly price. Guests pay a small service fee.
- Fair cancellation. Cancel more than 7 days before check in and you get everything back, service fee included.
- Help from people who know the places. Our support team is in Tanzania and answers in English or Kiswahili.
